Summer’s Story {A Poem}

The summer breeze blows the clouds afar.

And over the horizon, ascends the summer star,

Shining bright, above the deep blue skies,

In a land where there are no good byes.

Places to go and people to see,

An entire list of a growing family tree.

The fun begins and their faces are shinning.

No school or schedules or last minute cramming!

And when the day comes to an end,

Nightfall just on the bend.

The warm winds are still having their way,

Stars sprinkle across the sky, hidden during the day.

It’s not over yet, so don’t be glum,

Yet another day is to come,

A thousand morrows to spend in glory,

For this is not the end of summer’s story.
